Knauf Insulation is the UK’s leading manufacturer of insulation products. Through continued pioneering product development, Knauf Insulation is the only producer of multiple types of insulation: Earthwool, encompassing glass and rock mineral wool with the revolutionary ECOSE® Technology; blown mineral wool products under the brand name Supafil® and extruded polystyrene (XPS) under the Polyfoam® brand name.Knauf Insulation is active in more than 35 countries with 40 manufacturing plants and over 5,500 employees across the globe. In the UK, the company employs around 600 people at its four manufacturing plants; Cwmbran, Hartlepool, Queensferry and St. Helens.
Knauf Insulation mineral wool products with ECOSE Technology. A sustainable binder with no added formaldehyde, based on rapidly renewable material rather than petro-based chemicals with no artificial colours, dyes or bleach. ECOSE Technology is up to 70 per cent less energy intensive than traditional binders. Complementing the sustainability benefits, mineral wool with ECOSE Technology is also easy to cut and softer to handle.
